The biggest “Gap” in Advantage plans are the Inpatient Hospital Co-pay. It isn’t really a gap as on an advantage plan it is still much cheaper than regular insurance, however, it is the biggest copay, and we have a plan to offset that. A Hospital Indemnity pays out a lump sum based on how many days you were in the hospital. The amounts vary but match closely with Advantage plans.
Stand alone Prescription Plans are available. It is Important to make sure you have Part D coverage, so you do not pay a late enrolment penalty later. We have a large selection available to help cover those who don’t have any prescriptions to those with some of the more expensive ones. We won’t just sell you a plan, you will understand how the plan works and what you can expect to pay before you leave.
There is pretty good coverage for the health plan portion of cancer, But the expenses do not end there. There is a large number of costs that you can’t run through a health care plan, like losing weight and having to buy new clothes, travel expenses for yourself, or family you want to have with you like transportation or lodging. A cancer plan will pay out if you get a diagnoses. No strings attached for whatever you need. They are a very affordable way to take stress you don’t need out of the equation.
These are what we call help while you figure it out plans. They generally are good for 1 year from the time you get a diagnoses that qualifies for payments. Many are very good and pay daily for a large number of different services beyond just in home health care. With prescription benefits that could pay your premium back on these plans, they are worth a look. Benefits renew after being healthy after a specified time period, so you won’t have to use it and lose it.
Annuities and life insurance are both available. We can also do Long Term Care plans, but more modern plans have started doing Hybrid annuity or life insurance plans. This means that You can use the death benefit from your life insurance or annuity to pay for long term care. This is something to consider when looking at getting life insurance or annuities. We will gladly cover what is available and how they work so you understand what you are buying and the coverage you can expect.

Medicare covers emergency rooms overseas on a reimbursement bases. Some plans have a copay. That’s it. End of health care from your health plan in another country.
